Imagine sitting in your own apartment, minding your own business, and a uniformed police officer enters your apartment, shoots and kills you, because they mistook YOUR apartment for theirs. Hard to even imagine something like this, but this is where we are in 2018.
On Thursday evening around 10 pm. a police officer with the Dallas PD walked into an apartment about a quarter-mile from the precinct she works at after she had just finished her shift. USA Today (@USAToday) reports, the officer then pulled out her firearm and shot and killed the man inside the apartment, who has been identified as 26-year old, Botham Shem Jean. Who was the legal resident of the apartment. Jean died at the hospital later on from his injuries.

Dallas PD has yet to release any more details about the shooting, including the officers’ identity, and how the f*ck did she not realize that she was in someone else’s apartment? Did you shop for the exact same furniture and decorate the exact same way? The Dallas PD said they were currently conducting an internal investigation. In the meantime, the officer is out on paid administrative leave.
