SEPTA Police said they are trying to identify a man who is wanted for allegedly assaulting a pregnant woman on a SEPTA bus overnight. According to a report from CBS PHILLY -3, the incident happened aboard the Market-Frankford Line Night Owl bus, at around 1:45 a.m. in the 8th & Market Streets area.

Police say the suspect approached the woman, who was seated on the bus. He allegedly demanded that she give her seat to him. She said no. SEPTA officials said, that was when the suspect punched the woman in the face and ran off. The bus driver immediately called police.
The victim, who is two-months pregnant, was transported to Jefferson University Hospital for treatment. The victim’s injuries were reported to be “non-life threatening” and the baby was reported to be fine.
No suspects have been named and no one has been arrested yet.
