A 17-year old male who was riding a bike was gunned down and killed in a drive-by shooting in the Kensington section of the city yesterday. A report from 6 ABC ACTION NEWS said the incident happened on the 3200 block of 2nd Street, near Allegheny Avenue at around 10:30 a.m. on Thursday morning.

Police reported, receiving multiple phone calls about the shooting. Officers arriving on the crime scene found the teen lying between two parked cars. He’d been riding a mountain bike. The teen had been shot multiple times, according to police reports. A parked car nearby had been hit by gunfire at least four times.
The teenager was rushed to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time after arrival. Police say they are checking nearby surveillance cameras hoping to catch a video or image of a suspect. As for now, no suspect(s) have been identified and no arrests have been made in the murder.
