The incident reportedly began when a woman caught three juveniles attempting to break into her car. A man who was with the woman confronted the suspects. Police said the altercation led to at least one gunshot being fired. Police say a bullet struck a 15-year old in the head. The 15-year old was up the street, away from the altercation when he was shot. Police said the 15-year old was retrieving a case of bottled water from the car.

“He was just simply minding his own business, taking some bottle water into the house. “

Said Philadelphia Police Inspector, DF Pace. The teen was rushed to an area hospital, where he was last reported to be in extremely critical condition. Police said they believe the teens are the same people responsible for the robbery of a person at an ATM machine, earlier in the same night. That victim gave police a description of the suspects. That description matched the description of the three suspects who attempted to break into the woman’s car.

No arrests have been made at this time.
