Philadelphia Police said 62-year old, Timothy Robinson, is facing vehicular-homicide charges, after the SUV he was driving killed a child who was walking on the sidewalk with their mother. A 6 ABC ACTION NEWS report said the incident happened on the 3000 block of West Girard Avenue at around 11:30 a.m. on Monday morning.

Robinson was allegedly drunk, when the 2020 Nissan Rogue he was driving jumped the sidewalk and hit a mother and her 3-year old child who were walking down the street. The mother was reportedly uninjured, but the child was crushed under the SUV. Nearby neighbors reportedly rushed from their homes to try to help free the child. They could not do it. The child was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Robinson has been charged with involuntary manslaughter, homicide by vehicle, homicide by vehicle while driving DUI, and other related charges, according to the report.
