Police in New Jersey said they arrested 48-year old Leon Harris on Tuesday. Harris was arrested in connection to the death of his mother almost four years ago. A 6 ABC ACTION NEWS report said Victoria Harris went missing on July 11, 2018.
Police said Victoria Harris’ decomposed remains were found inside of a suitcase inside of a home on the 2700 block of Ruby Street in Southwest Philly, on July 27th of 2018. Ms. Harris resided on the 400 block of West Clearfield Street before her apparent murder, according to the 6 ABC report.
Harris was reportedly arrested in Camden, N.J. on March 29th. He’s expected to be extradited back to Philadelphia to face charges in connection to the death of his mother. Harris has been charged with murder and other related offenses.
