Police said a 34-year old woman shot her 40-year old husband overnight, in what police say may have been an act of self-defense from the wife. According to a report from 6 ABC ACTION NEWS, the woman fired shots from a car shortly after midnight at Chew Avenue & Brinton Streets.

The husband was reportedly shot in both legs. Police found the woman around the corner from the shooting scene, still sitting inside of her car. After checking the system, police said the wife has an active protection from abuse warrant against her husband. That may make this shooting a self-defense situation, according to police.
The wife is reportedly cooperating with police, and have not been charged with any crime at this time. Police were said to be interviewing possible witnesses. The husband was taken to Einstein Medical Center, where he was last reported to be in stable condition.
