A DoorDash driver has reportedly been taken into police custody, after being accused of shooting a Chic-Fil-A employee last night in the Crescentville section of the city. A 6 ABC Action News report said, The incident happened shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday night, out side of the Chic-Fil-A on the 800 block of Adams Avenue.

According to police, the incident reportedly started over a missing milkshake at the Chic-Fila-A that only takes online orders…
“(The employee) asks to see the receipt and the occupant of the car refuses to show the receipt. He then sees the driver of the vehicle pull out a gun and put it on his lap”, said Captain John Walker of the Philadelphia Police Department.
A team leader and manager reportedly went outside to try to defuse the situation. The driver pulled off, but quickly returned and fired a single shot. The 17-year old team leader was hit in the leg.
The suspect fled in a white Mercedes after the shooting, with police who had been on patrol nearby, in hot pursuit. The driver abandoned the Mercedes after a short police pursuit. The suspect was reportedly detained until he was positively identified by the victim and witnesses. Once positively identified, he was placed in police custody. The suspect’s identity has not yet been released, because he has not been charged with a crime yet.
The victim was transported to Albert Einstein Medical Center where he was last reported to be in stable condition.
