Police in East Point, Georgia, said they have arrested Fardereen Deonta Grier (no age given), and charged him with the murder of Destiny Fitzpatrick (no age given), on Wednesday. A report from TMZ.com said local police responded to a call that took them to a home on the 4000 block of Foxhunt Lane in East Point, Georgia, on Tuesday afternoon.
First responding officers said when they arrived at the scene they found Grier crying and Fitzpatrick lying dead in a pool of blood at the front door of the home. The officer said Grier originally told them he’d been fighting off two armed men wearing face masks who’d broken into his home.
Grier later admitted to police that his story was a lie. While talking to police, Grier also revealed to them that he was the son of rapper Young Thug’s sister. The information was later confirmed.
There was no word in the report about Grier’s next court date.
