19-year old Landon Parrot is facing charges related to the death of his 1-year old son, after he reportedly, intentionally left the 1-year old child in a hot car alone. According to a 6 ABC Action News report, the unresponsive child was brought into a local hospital by Parrot, who was questioned by police at the hospital.

When questioned by police, Parrot initially attempted to tell a different story about what happened, but when pressed by police about the inconsistencies in his story Parrot eventually told the truth.
“The child passed away after being left unattended in the car for approximately 5 hours, with an outside temperature of 87 degrees. During the interview it appears that this was not a matter of forgetting the child, but was a deliberate act so as the child would not be a disturbance inside the house”, said New Philadelphia Police Chief, Michael Goodwin.
Parrot has been charged with one count of murder, two counts of endangering children, and one count of involuntary manslaughter. He is being held at the Tuscarawas County Jail with a $250,000 bail.
