Former Philadelphia Police Officer, Patrick Heron was arrested and charged with several counts related to the sexual abuse of children. A 6 ABC Action News report said Herron’s arrests comes after a months-long investigation by the District Attorney’s Office.
The investigation of Heron reportedly began when several of his alleged victims told a teacher at Austin Meehan Middle School about the alleged sexual abuse involving sexual acts and photos. The investigation is reportedly still ongoing as investigators search for more victims.
“We have reason to believe that there are, or may be, additional victims and additional witnesses who suffered criminal conduct”, said District Attorney, Larry Krasner.
Heron is being held on $2 million bail.
