The pair reportedly kidnapped the 17-year old from a parking lot of a restaurant the teen worked at in Philadelphia on June 14, 2021. The pair took the teen to a New Jersey apartment complex, where the teen was held at gunpoint while the kidnappers called the teens parents and demanded a $500,000 ransom for the teen’s safe return.

In a joint effort, the FBI and Philadelphia Police Department tracked the calls location to the apartment complex in New Jersey. The teen was rescued from the kidnappers who were taken into custody two days later, on June 16th. A 3rd co-conspirator was shot and killed by federal agents. The details behind the killing of that suspect were never released to the public.
