A crash involving a dirt bike reportedly left a man dead in the Hunting Park section of the city last night. A 6 ABC Action News report said the incident happened near the intersection of 2nd Street & Rising Sun Avenue at an undisclosed time on Friday night.
According to police investigators, the driver of a 2016 Honda was making a left turn on Rising Sun Avenue, attempting to head down Bristol Street, when the dirt bike slammed into the passenger’s side of the vehicle.
The passenger in the Honda and the dirt bike rider were both rushed to a nearby hospital. The 21-year old passenger in the Honda suffered a broken wrist. He was last reported to be in stable condition. The 23-year old dirt bike rider suffered numerous injuries during the crash. He died at the hospital as a result of his injuries.
The crash is reportedly under investigation.
