An off-duty Philadelphia police officer was shot at by two car thieves after witnessing the car thieves attempting to break into his vehicle in the Eastwick section of the city this weekend.

A Fox-29 Philly report said the incident happened on 75th Street & Buist Avenue at around 4 a.m. on Sunday morning.

 

 

 

The off-duty officer reportedly witnessed the attempted car burglary and began walking toward the suspects. The thieves fired at least two shots at the officer before taking off on foot. The officer was not hit during the gunfire.

 

No suspects have been named and no arrests have been made at this time.
