A 27-year old man was reportedly struck by a car and killed in Southwest Philadelphia during a hit and run this morning.

A 6 ABC Action News report said the incident happened on Island Avenue in Southwest Philly in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

 

 

 

The victim was reportedly struck by a 65-year old man driving Southbound as he attempted to cross Island Ave on foot. The force of the crash sent the pedestrian flying into the Northbound lane, where he was struck by another car that kept going after hitting the victim. Police said the first driver stayed at the scene.

 

Police said they are looking for a dark colored sedan they believe to be the 2nd car.
